This 7-metre Optimist sheet has a double taper, it is 9mm thick in the centre and up to 6mm at the ends. One end measures 1.60m and the other 2.30m. Depending on the gear ratio of your boat, one end will be better for you than the other.
This type of sheet takes in much less water and thus reduces weight.
